Be warned the staff at this place will do nothing about the safety of their guests, nor go above any minimum effort to resolve any situation. The management at the Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky offer their warmest welcome and very well-rated, 4-star hotel accommodation with 271 well-appointed rooms. I contacted my bank about the fraudulent charge and the bank was issuing a charge back to Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky already before I decided to contact this business. After being informed of this knowledge I told Great Wolf Lodge that the charge went through so the criminal is currently staying in their location actively, but Great Wolf Lodge rep that was at the location did not seem a slight bit concerned that a criminal was currently staying with their guests, nor interested in resolving the situation since they mistakenly thought they've gotten their money. I had a fraudulent charge show up on my bank account from Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky, and upon further research and calling into their customer service department and the hotel themselves, I was told that a customer cannot check into the hotel without physically presenting the card used to make the reservation and in addition must present a ID that matches the name on the card, which could not have been the case since I had the card on me (in a different state all together) and the ID couldn't have matched indicates Great Wolf Lodge will break policy if it benefits them. I highly recommend staying elsewhere.īeware of fraudulent activity when dealing with this company. When you feel relieved to be leaving you know it was not a great stay. There is no room cleaning during your stay. I have no idea what the resort fee is for. If you don’t want to hear a herd of elephants walking above you make sure you get a room on the top floor! And the fireplace stays on about 10 min before shutting off. We had a fireplace suite with a love seat and it was like sitting on a log. The girl at the towel desk didn’t even look up at us, just a bored “how many.” I can’t imagine anyone spending more than an afternoon here there just isn’t enough to do. Unfortunately no staff intervened when children were in the adult hot tub. There is a family hot tub and an adults only hot tub. The water park: it is small and not well kept. The noise started at 7 am and went until after 7 pm every day. We were placed on the first floor and the patio door was locked due to the construction and we had to keep the curtains closed. The website states the resort has some construction happening. Stayed here for four nights, Mon-Thurs., mid-October. Save yourself the money eating at the resort as you can find a number of restaurants around the hotel that will suit all tastes, for far less money.Īs for the resort, it is fine for kids up to 8 or 10 years old, but beyond that, the older kids will get bored as the equipment is geared for smaller children.įor the price and the experience we had, we're going back to Zehnder's Splash Village The quoted price online is far from the total you will be charged. Beware the daily fees for a basic room - Resort Fees ($34.99), Room Local Occupancy Tax ($10.65), Room County Tax ($14.20), Room State Sales Tax ($23.96). The information is misleading (false description of restaurants, no room make-up service for multiple night stays, additional fees) and there are numerous more charges added to your bill that are not disclosed on the website (to the tune of $84 per night in additional fees, over and above the already steep prices). I booked this trip online without ever stepping foot in the resort, therefore, I relied entirely on the information provided on the website when making my decision.
